So Hieu, tell us about you.

It all began with tweaking a bus app’s UX for a Japanese transportation company during my internship in Kagoshima — making travel less "lost in translation" for tourists. That sparked my journey from Product Designer to Product Manager, navigating startups to enterprises.

Before tech, I earned a Business Administration degree in Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, Japan, then dabbled in marketing while teaching English. Teaching taught me to empathize with each student's unique needs and tailor lessons accordingly — just as understanding your users is key to discovering product-market fit and crafting products with exceptional UX.

After 4+ years of digital wins (mostly), I packed my bags for Dublin to deepen my tech-speak and earned a Master’s in Computer Science at University College Dublin. Lately, I have been building quirky apps and games with my loyal sidekick, Cursor AI, all in a quest to figure out how not to be replaced by it. Off the clock, I also shoot freelance photography and embark on thrifting adventures in Dublin because sleep is overrated anyway.
